US Open R3 : Klizan def. Chardy 6-4 6-4 6-4

Huge surprise.
Almost all the posters here including me, thought that Chardy would easily win it given the fact that he's been in a great form and Klizan hasn't done much this year to be labelled as the favorite for this one. Anyway,a huge surprise.

not that big of a surprise. Martin proved he can play on hard in nc, and now he's doing it here. Chardy had two byes to this match so you really couldn't tell his true form. Good win Martin, Cilic is next i believe.

Yeah, not as if he beat Tsonga or anything.

Or as if Chardy is one of the tour's biggest mugs.

Kližan has dramatically improved since his appearance in Umag.

Huuge win for Klizan, 4th round of a grandslam by defeating Chardy 6-4 6-4 6-4 - I mean, what a pretty result

Really big big win for Slovak tennis, onward to rubber against Cilic !

Roger Federer - Martin Klizan - Lukas Lacko - Milos Raonic - Fernando Verdasco

Dustin Brown - Nick Kyrgios - Norbert Gombos - Stanislas Wawrinka - Dominic Thiem

Really not surprised at all tbh. Quarters are doable... just about.

| Wins over 3+ of the Top 4. Players to reach all slam QFs+ in history. Hawkeye/Line Calls. QFs+ at Slams & Masters, but never Top 20.
Haas / The Fog / Tsonga / Brown / Mahut / Dolgo / Fed / Baker / Alund / Tursunov / Copil / Bolelli / Brands / Benneteau / Gojowczyk / Steps / PHM
Rafter / Edberg / Henman / Stich / Safin / Gambill / Grosjean / Malisse / Gonzo / Llodra / Santoro / Agassi / Schalken / Nováček / Rosewall / H-T Lee / Kuerten / Boetsch / Pavel / Sundström / Björkman / Scud / El Aynaoui / Arazi / Calleri / Sampras / Nalbandian / Mosquito / Srichaphan

Great run here for Klizan. Nice to see.

Awful result for Jeremy though
