As usual, I'll wait to hear it from his mouth since the Spanish press are almost as good as the British at making up bullshit stories on the flimsiest of excuses.

Agreed. The fact that they got it right so far with this injury is no guarantee they're not jumping the gun here.

I doubt that's the issue in this case. Other players in direct contact with Nadal ( fed etc) have all pretty much been reported as saying it hasn't been looking good. In this case it doesn't seem hype by the press. Hopefully Nadal returns to full health and is a good competitor as ever, but he's a ways away from that yet.

If it is the real thing I suppose we'll hear from Nadal himself not too long in the future. I can wait until then.

Sad business going on there right now in the Nadal camp, but I still believe he'll be back for the 2013 clay court season.
If not earlier. Which I hope so.

I will miss seeing Rafa, but I hope he takes the time to recover. I don't want him to suffer a career ending injury.

I think we all hope it's not the end for him, and i'm not prediciting it will be. But it's clear it's serious, and if he does come back it wont be in the next few weeks.
