Stomach virus, at least it's not the knee.

That would be something else....guess we'll just have to wait and see. I don't expect comments to be altogether clarifying this time either.

Exactly. I hope he is not, but he could very well be lying to his fans here.

Re: Rafa OUT of Abu Dhabi

My thoughts were Rafa would get a few matches under his belt before he arrives in Melbourne. This clearly won't happen.

I have grave fears that Rafa will indeed pull out of the Australian Open.

As of yet, Nadal has not cancelled Doha, I believe. He is still on the official entry list there.

Yes Nadal is still down for Doha and hope to see him play there. Aussie Open would sorely miss him.

I fear he won't be on that list for long.

Why would he fake an illness to cover up another injury? What benefit could it possibly have to do this??

Still hopes he'll be able to play AO and doesn't want to worry people about his knees.

Re: Rafael Nadal Injury/Health Update Thread : Nadal out of Abu Dhabi exho

Yawn!

This is boring. He has promised to play so many tournaments only to drop out.

I won't believe him until he shows up on court and completes a match.

Nadal's arms strong!

Acts like the Knee is fully recovered and covers it up with something else just so people stop the retirement talk

I agree it makes little sense. I assume he really has a stomach virus. Hopefully this will heal quickly.

This cancellation means he will go more than six months without a match. Last one was June 29th. Next will be December 31th at the earliest. That's a long gap. He really needs Doha if he wants to be prepared for AO.
