This video was just posted in his Facebook page reminiscing about his matches with Roger Federer.

I remember all matches against Roger!

He is practicing his bluffing skills.

Must be sad not to enjoy life.

It's funny and the kid's being paid $15 million for a few ads, videos and posters - think he's okay with you finding it embarrassing.

Pretty much even more embarrassing to still dub a 26-year-old multi-millionaire top-sports star as a 'kid', me thinks.

How is that embarrassing? It happens all the time time with people in the real world sometimes out of affection and sometimes just playfully. His winnings and skill don't impact whether someone wants to call him a kid.

Rafa seems depressed
First that pic of all his trophies on the shelf, then the video of his matches vs Roger. It's like he's already looking backwards on his career... like it's over. Like he's saying "Those were the days."

You sound like you'd like that

Maybe he is looking at his old videos, to pump himself up to do it again.

I don't think you're too far off on that. My impression has been he's defiantly a man depressed and fairly classic signs of it. It's not uncommon for a top athlete who cant perform currently.

I didn't mean anything bad by it! I'm just making an observation.
Really, you don't hear the top guys dwelling on their past glories: it's always about "what's next?" with them. You don't see Rafa or Fed randomly posting pics of their trophies. Oh, I know their sponsors like to make ads showing such stuff -- that's their business. But Rafa always portrayed the image of "always hungry; never satisfied." Always got the impression he allowed himself one brief celebration and then it's back to work the next day, business as usual. Seeing him away from tennis enjoying fishing or golf or something isn't weird, but this nostalgia stuff is, at least to me.

As talked about above, it does seem a sign of depression. i've found his online postings a bit strange to say the least.

He's just refreshing his pigeon handling techniques for the next year.

I didn't want to intervene on that topic, but I really think that it's not Nadal himself who decided to post that but his agent Benito : all of that is part of the marketing process to make fans looking forward to Nadal's come back, that's very obvious (journalists know that : recently Tignor wrote "what Rafa (Benito) posted on facebook").

What Rafa feels personally, I don't know but it surely cannot be guessed through these facebook videos/pictures.

useless old guy
