Nadal still undefeated when not bothered by injury or wisdom teeth

Who needs teeth when you have Toni providing all the wisdom you could ask for

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Here's a tip. Don't regret nothin'. You ain't got the time. Before you know it, you'll be 60 something years old giving free advice to some cheapskate runt... Then going home and regretting it.

Rafa is the only person in the world who could somehow manage to harm his knees while having his wisdom teeth pulled! oh well, enjoy eating ice cream for the next few days, Rafa!

Quote:
On Fora de Joc on Monday night, Rafael Nadal's uncle and coach gave us the latest news on his nephew's physical fitness, after two months away from the tennis courts:

"The recovery is going well but it's a bit slow. The problem is that the fat there is there in the knee has hardened and now we have to wait till it softens up. On top of all this, an infection he contracted after he had his four wisdom teeth taken out meant that the treatment wasn't as effective as it has been on other occasions."

On the other hand, he ruled out completely that the injury could lead to the tennis player's retirement and said he hoped this enforced break would help him to recover completely: "This stoppage is not a mental issue. The time off will be good for recuperating and regenerating his whole body. He has played in a great deal of pain since 2005."

Finally, Toni Nadal said that in spite of not being able to compete, his pupil is one of life's fortunate people: "He is fortunate, he plays tennis, things are going well for him financially and in his sport. I feel confident Rafael will be back at the the highest of levels, he's eager to continue and he's not down or sad."

No idea what to make of them O_o
I don't know about the wisdom teeth, but the other part of message is clear. Nadal wont be playing before the AO next year but we kinda expected that anyway.

Good, hopefully Nadal makes a full recovery and heals up completely during these months while the other players tire out and weaken themselves during the indoor season. Nadal will come back just in time to win AO

Very wishful thinking from you. Nadal has been off-court (literally) for dozen weeks. At this level, such a break knocks you out of the rythm completely. Nadal will need MONTHS of play to reach his optimum, I give him 2-3 months of very muggish perfomance and expect him to peak at the start of the clay court season as usual.

Two months of practice plus Abu Dhabi and Doha should be enough preparation for Australian Open. At the end of 2005 and beginning of 2006 he missed around 4 months because of injury and when he came back he made SF in Marseille and then won Dubai.
