Who Is Better ? Steve Johnson or Jack Sock ?

To me, their style is so similiar. Both with big serves and booming forehands. Both with barely top 150 level backhands. They're both american. And they both seem destined to be in top 20 at least in the near future.

So who is better ? To me, Steve looks litle litle bit better but it might very well change in quite a short time.

Discuss.

Who is better now is a tough question. Who will be better in the future is fairly easy to answer as it'll clearly be Sock.

Both will be challenger mugs at best. Socks might peak around 80.

We have to be realistic. Who's gonna be in top 20 come 2018 or 2019 for instance ?

There are many young players vying for those positions. It's a battle out there.

Paradorn Srichaphan
Kei Nishikori, Donald Young, Somdev Devvarman, Dustin Brown, Steve Johnson, Yannick Maden
Robert Farah, Clement Reix, Alexander Dolgopolov, Nathan Thompson

Re: Who Is Better ? Steve Johnson or Jack Sock ?

sock has a lot lot lot more promise, he can dominate players around the court, dictating play. I don't think Steve has quite that ability

<3 Roger Federer <3 David Ferrer <3 Juan Martin Del Potro <3 Ernest Gulbis <3

------------------------ <3 Richard Gasquet <3

Rafael Nadal

Re: Who Is Better ? Steve Johnson or Jack Sock ?

Some of you are a massive mugs, isn´t Johnson a college player? He is playing fine for someone ranked that low. Sock on the other hand will most probably have a better career...but insulting someone even before his career actually started? Really?

sock's playing super well against almagro... except his break point conversion.

i was not expecting almagro to even have to play a tiebreak, let alone playing two of which he only won one so far

Berdych Monaco Granollers Leo-Mayer Troicki Roger-Vasselin Lu Paire

Really? Almagro has made super hard work of his matches so far and hadn't played a single HC tournament prior to the US Open...the fact he is struggling is hardly a surprise?!
