Re: USO R2: Djokovic def. Dutra Silva 6-2 6-1 6-2

It was a fun match but Novak was always in control. Dutra Silva did well to win as many games as he did, especially that 15 minute epic at the start of the second set. The funniest moment was when Dutra Silva screamed when hitting a ball and Novak stopped playing thinking it was an out call by the linesman. At least he saw the funny side of it.

We can have different opinions, that is all subjective of ofcourse. But you can feel a more electric feeling in the crowd when watching Federer, they expect a show and usually get it from Federer no matter how onesided.

Djokovic only gets entertaining when he got a worthy opponent.

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

Some funny moments in this match. Silva tried very hard, but of course Nole was going to win. I just don't like when some you guys show complete disrespect to lower ranked guys not called Fed, Nole, Nadal and Murray.

No one will/should think of being entertaining when it is 34 C. Being efficient is all that matters.

c'mont Sexy, they get it from Nole too. Everyone wants to see the top guys. OK, Fed is more popular but you are being a bit silly here. Why even bring Fed in this thread?

Hate the sound of it. I hope Rogelio won't be anything like Rogerio if they face up later.

OK, you guys are something, like really. Did anybody see this match? Would you like me to open up a new thread where we can talk about Federer?

If it's boring, why do you watch his matches?

Why aren't you whining about easy opponents like you do in every Federer thread? Clown.

Dutra Silva is a decent rally player, but he can neither serve nor return. Had nothing to hurt Djoker with.

Imperious ball striking by Djokovic. He'll be hard to crack in this tournament.

I was actually impressed with the level Dutra Silva showed in patches. In the end though, the consistency on the other side of the net was too much on all levels for him.

Re: USO R2: Djokovic def. Dutra Silva 6-2 6-1 6-2

dutra is a decent rallyer, but as pointed out already, he has subpar serve and no return at all. still, some rallies were pretty good. nothing to write home about, but far above the level shown by lorenzi.

I wanted to see this Dutra Silva, one of the few players in the draw I have never seen or heard of, I now understand why I havent ever seen or heard about him.
