But of course, there's no denying that - he is going for the CY4R after all.

nah he'll lose to Muller

I'd like to see him reach the quarters (if he doesn't face Mulls) in all fairness. But that's where Baker takes over.

obvs.

Re: USO R2 Steve Johnson beats Gulbis 6-7 7-6 6-3 6-4

Actually this wasnīt bad Gulbis that los, yes he didnīt played his best, but he was solid, his serve was working, a lot of aces, unreturnables also in rallies his weird FH isnīt such bad, just he didnīt do nothing special - i mean 4 sets and he wasnīt able to break Johnsonīs serve. Missed opportunity here for Ernests at least points in ranking would be nice, but hope he will play in good form next tournaments, his serve is working, isnīt making million UE, he can win some matches i hope at next tournaments and his confidence will go up - thatīs most important for him. Good win for Johnson R3 at USO, not many people would say this before USO started.

Pretty much agree with everything. Just wanted to add that catastrophic break point conversion (actually, complete lack of it) by Gulbis, and that new FH technique, which he has adapted in recent months, looks simply disgusting. In fact, his new FH tehnique could be among my least favorite shots in tennis

Well, Gasquet is real winner here. But I like this guy too, hope Johnson has great career in front of him.

Gasquet is next №1

So expected that's not even funny anymore...
As a Gulbis fan I'm sad, on the other hand as a Gasquet fan it's a good news.

Gasquet ● B.Baker ● Soderling ● Wawrinka ● Federer ● Goffin ● Sijsling ● Youzhny ● Thiem ● Gulbis ● Mahut ● Brown ● F.Mayer ● Tomic
