And due to being on holiday for the next 10 days I probably won't be able to watch his last match. This sucks.

Now I want Andy to ship the event in some crazy ridiculous lightning bolt fashion thrown down from the heavens by the almighty Zeus

I at least had him for another year

Re: Andy Roddick WILL retire after the US Open [CONFIRMED]

Well, he wasn't going to play challengers anyway, if he can't be competitive at the top, what can he play for at this point of career. Best of luck to him in post-tennis period

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

Re: Andy Roddick WILL retire after the US Open [CONFIRMED]

I've seen this coming all year. I never thought Andy was the one to announce it much beforehand and it was always in the cards that he would go out at the US Open and no other tournament. I almost expected it last year.

It was fun Andy. I'll miss all his press conferences.
