I like your arguments. Bulletproof stuff.

Educating MTF clowns one post at a time.
So many fanboys to troll, so little time.

Favourite tennis matches: 2011 US Open Final & 2012 Australian Open Final, starring Novak Djokovic & Rafael Nadal, showing us just how far science can take humanity.

The US Open Final was especially enjoyable, with 'Why are there white spots all over my body?' Djokovic and 'Why am I sweating boils?' Nadal embarked on a titanic battle, concluding with the inferior player, Nadal, entering a sort of delirious state of psychosis. This allowed him to, while showing very little fatigue, consume inhuman amounts of energy, before he literally ran his legs from underneath him. This is truly the stuff dreams are made of.

Can Ferrer get no.4???

Shanghai+Paris+WTF+Valencia = 4000 points.

On Murray

Some people never learn.

They want so much for Roger to fall. Roger will fall when he wants and if he wants. If he retired today he would never have fallen.

I know it may seem strange to some haters that a 31 year old is currently #1 in the world when there are 3 opponents 5 years younger and in their primes. But the #1's name is Roger Federer, are there any other explanations necessary......

Re: Where will Nadal be ranked at the end of 2012?

Bumped this thread once I saw the same topic appear in GM.

As said, Nadal will most likely end the year ranked nr.4. Nr.5 isn't impossible, but it's damn near impossible.

Only Del Potro can take him out before the semis, and he won't. Nadal is winning the AO, bet your house on it.

Now that Ferrer lost early in Tokyo and is likely to miss Shanghai, Nadal will certainly finish in the top 4. Murray still not officially past Nadal in the race but will likely pass him soon.

Pretty impressive given he only played half the year (11 tournaments) and just underlines even more how dominant the top 4 are...

Well, a little more than half. He was never going to play 22 tournaments. And of course, he played all his best tournaments. Still impressive, though.

Re: Where will Nadal be ranked at the end of 2012?

Things might get interesting still. If Ferrer wins Paris, he will have around 6000 race points while Nadal has around 6800 points. Ferrer reaching the WTF final would certainly get him close to Nadal, though I must admit I don't know how many points you get from winning a WTF semi. RR matches give 200 points, that much I know.

Hoping for JJ to win tomorrow though, which will render this conversation irrelevant unless Ferrer wins WTF, which isn't likely.

RR matches give 200 points, SF win 400 points, F win 500 points.

If Ferru wins Paris, he needs to make the finals with 2 RR wins to pass Rafa. He'd have 6830 points to Rafa's 6705.

It's a very long shot. Ferru will be dead in London. If he wins Paris, he'll be very satisfied with his season, rightly so, and will be eager for some rest.
