Murray's 1st serve was just woeful but did just enough to get through and a straight sets job is all that matters. Better hope that he can improve because playing like this, Dodig and Roanic would beat the Scot easily.

How can anyone enjoy watching Murray play? Most of his fans are Brits who feel obligated to support him.

This is just dumb. He had a bad day today, but his matches are still entertaining, much more than more one dimensional players on tour.

He has bad days all the time. Just moans at himself and his box when his passive tennis isn't rewarded.

He is getting better though, and when he mixes it up and attacks and just gets on with it, he can be decent to watch. I thought he was going to win the open but even though this is a R1 match, it's completely changed my mind.

No serve = no slam

No one is forcing you to watch his matches.

There's no reason he can't find his service rhythm as the tournament goes along.

Re: US Open R1: Murray def. Bogomolov Jr 62, 64, 61

pretty bad play, very bizarre random games. Bogomolov is capable of so much more, it was sad to see him playing great points very rarely followed by confusing setups only to remind us how much he crashes. not the same fighting spirit used to seeing from him.

bad warm up for Murray, hopefully he is not rusty going into the 2nd round and with a tough draw like his he could be in trouble if he doesn't find his groove

Always great to see Pushray broken more than an average WTA player in a straight set win . This guy is this year's USO favorite for sure

....

....

On a serious note, people STILL think this useless mug will win a slam?

Lol.

Bogomolov you legend

murray had 28% 1st serves in the first set still won 6-2.... Just shows what a weaponless mug bomuglov is.

How exactly was he acting? I didn't see it but heard one of the talking heads say he watching clutching hamstrings today. Too funny.

Not great stuff from Andy, despite the ease of scoreline Hopefully his form will improve.

That's classic murray and he only does it when he loses points....
