tennis historians wont care about any of Nadal's records as 90% of it is clay related - including the head to head leads
it's sort of beside the point, what surface the meetings came on. the fact is Nadal has beaten ALL of his rivals on EVERY surface except I suppose indoor which has hardly any tournaments. sure he wins the H2H's because of the clay but it's not like he was beating them in Mickey Mouse Tournaments. he was beating them in master 1000's and an abnormally high amount of times, ROland Garros, often a few of his biggest rivals each tournament. and once again, Murray/Federer/Djokovic are all great clay court players so to act like it is a slight to Nadal that he only leads them all in H2H because of clay is sort of silly. they are all very capable on all surfaces, including clay, which is why they have met him in so many finals/sfs/ect.
certainly in the long run it will be noted that Nadal managed to have practically no losing records against players except what? Davydenko? even that is a horrible matchup and I think he is losing only by like 1 and has had the misfortune of Nikolay going off the map and not being around for him to play anymore
