Think Nole's happier by letting Fed think he can beat him at a HC slam for the first time in 3 years and then taking it all away again. Fed's still not got over those match points I don't think...

Re: Big 4 Record Against Each Other - Now & Future

My prediction:

Nadal will have a winning record over 3(Federer, Djokovic, Murray). Losing record to Hrbaty
Hrbaty will have a winning record over 3(Nadal, Federer, Murray). Losing record to Djokovic
Djokovic will have a winning record over 2(Hrbaty, Murray). Losing record to 2(Nadal, Federer)
Federer will have a winning record over Djokovic. Losing record to 3(Nadal, Hrbaty, Murray)
Murray will have a winning record over Federer. Losing record to 3(Nadal, Hrbaty, Djokovic)

Hrbaty is GOAT. Ties Nadal at 3-1 but wins the H2H tiebreaker

Good post. How could I have forgotten Hrbaty?! By the way you should update your signature - Raonic is in the Top 20 now.

Yup, a true great in skipping tournaments when he'll get his ass kicked. What an amazing fighter .

Yup. Plays 5 tournaments in the clay season, loses 2 second rounds after that, and jumps straight to the beginning of the next clay season. Such a master.

It has no weight, rofl. You still need to beat several more players to win the event or whatever. Rafa beating Federer at this year's AO meant nothing, he still lost in the final regardless.

H2H is an irrelevant stat in terms of achievements. No one certainly places Borg less or McEnroe higher even though they ended up 7:7 in their H2H. No one places Sampras lower because of his losing H2H records with players like Krajicek, Hewitt, among others.

Federer / Haas / Safin / Gaudio / Kuerten / Youzhny / Nadal / Gonzalez / Ljubicic / Hewitt / Soderling / Wawrinka / Coria / Nalbandian / Kohlschreiber

Re: Big 4 Record Against Each Other - Now & Future

prediction: there is not enough time for djokovic to get positive h2h against fed. murray is a joke. nadal will reduce non-clay appearances. so:

nadal: for sure positive against other 3 guys
fed: positive h2h against murray and nole
nole: only against murray
murray: useless

it's sort of beside the point, what surface the meetings came on. the fact is Nadal has beaten ALL of his rivals on EVERY surface except I suppose indoor which has hardly any tournaments. sure he wins the H2H's because of the clay but it's not like he was beating them in Mickey Mouse Tournaments. he was beating them in master 1000's and an abnormally high amount of times, ROland Garros, often a few of his biggest rivals each tournament. and once again, Murray/Federer/Djokovic are all great clay court players so to act like it is a slight to Nadal that he only leads them all in H2H because of clay is sort of silly. they are all very capable on all surfaces, including clay, which is why they have met him in so many finals/sfs/ect.

certainly in the long run it will be noted that Nadal managed to have practically no losing records against players except what? Davydenko? even that is a horrible matchup and I think he is losing only by like 1 and has had the misfortune of Nikolay going off the map and not being around for him to play anymore

Djokovic was trounced in his last meeting with the Fed Express and has a -4 in the H2H, how do you expect him to fix that if he can't even beat Federer in his 30s

Federer's longevity is why he may "fall behind" all three rivals. You have to note that his "rivals" are all 5+ years younger than him, and therefore will still be peaking when Federer is an "old man" and way past his best (on average, he's been past his best since the end of 2007). It's amazing that Federer is still picking off wins (often easy ones) against Joker, Nadal and Murray since he hit 30 years of age. It just shouldn't be possible to do what Federer has done. He's world no. 1 at age 31, when his "rivals" should be at their peak. Crazy stuff.

warm regards...

6-2, 6-3, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 and 6-3, 6-0 (and not even finals).

No, no, no...Federer is the supposed "GOAT", of course he *should* still be competitive at 31..especially when Nadal is injured and Djokovic is in a post-slump of his stellar last season.

Monaco - Del Potro - Nadal - Wawrinka - Robredo - Simon - Berdych - Dimitrov - Chardy

Fed will probably, or Rafa will need to get a bigger cage
