There would be a real top 10 in the hunt possibly. Since upsets would be more plentiful
It wouldn't be as stable, certainly, but with 4 great players it would probably still be pretty consistent. Murray & Fed would be great on faster surfaces and we all know how good Nadal & Djoker are on slower. Borg, Mac, Connors, Lendl were pretty stable while they lasted despite Mac & Connors's relative mediocrity on clay, Borg's struggling on outdoor hard, & Lendl's shittiness on grass.

The current top 4 is one of the toughest in quite a while, that's for sure. I can't say whether or not they're the toughest in history.

LET'S GO!!
SLAMS: 3 TITLES, 8 finals, 9 semi-finals, 8 quarter-finals...
WORLD TOUR FINALS: 1 TITLE, 3 semi-finals...
MASTERS: 14 TITLES, 7 finals, 12 semi-finals, 18 quarter-finals...
OLYMPICS: 2 gold medals, 1 silver...
DAVIS CUP: 1 TITLE, 1 semi-final, 1 quarter-final...
WORLD #1: 2 weeks and counting...
MATCH WIN/LOSS: 630-174...
TITLES: 44 and counting...

So let me rephrase: for Federer, prime years = peak, for Nole prime years = no show for the most part saved for a hot streak that lasted just a little over half a season, his peak.

I got it now. Wow, when you put it like that, Nole is so inferior to Fed...
he is but then again so if every player.Novak is in his prime but his peak level of play goes up and down

Who Federer?

He doesn't move half as well as he did in 2006. The most important aspect of his game now is his serve, he'd be fucked without it.

So Nole is rarely at his peak during his prime. I got you: his peak was a fluke.

When did this happen? Federer's prime was from 2004-2007 and in that period the breadsticks were 1-1 at RG finals between him and Nadal.

Top 3 is tough. Slamless players don't count.
