I love the AO but the article does make a point why it'd be boycotted. It's just in the weakest position
all this started in Australia one year ago.
Since then top-players, and esp. Federer, asked time to the players to negotiate with slams to get more, and they indeed got more in French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open.
1. I haven't heard anything about an Aus open's increase.
2. Stakhovsky and some other players reacted that it was still not enough.
