This is real patriotism. Not like Rafito who skipped playing for his country due to minor knee trouble and shows no guilt whatsoever and keeps posting happy photos on his boat.

It shows more than just caring about the result. Actually sawing the rackets afterwards out of anger is creepy I didn't know he took losses SO seriously.

I don't know if it's true but it's funny. Certainly rings true -- sounds like something my dad would do.
And some of the comments below the article

I always carry a saw with me, just in case I have to perform an amputation.

I don't know is he really sawing his rackets, but this can help:
He didn't stay in Olympic village - he, and whole Serbian tennis team, have rented houses near Wimbeldon complex.
And I think that every house have some kind of saw in garage or in some tool shed. So possibility to have saw is very huge... but as I said, I don't know is he really doing that.

Re: Novak literally sawing his rackets in half after Olympic loss?

Nole just tried to make the racquet more lean. Everything is under control... sort of

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

This sounds like sensationalistic tabloid BS to me. I can't even imagine Nole doing something like this. Next we'll hear Nole & his poodle are becoming Scientologists.
