Martin-Acasuso-Mathieu-Haas-Monfils-DelPotro-Soderling is not by any stretch of the imagination an "easy" route to an R.G. title. Martin & Acasuso were clay specialists, Mathieu had given Nadal his toughest ever match at R.G. before that year, Haas, Monfils, Del Po have all been Top-10 players (with R.G. Monfils's best slam), & Del Po a slam champion, & Soderling is a 2-time R.G. finalist, former Top 5 player, who just happens to be the only guy to beat Nadull at R.G. How exactly is that easy? Contrast it with Nadal's route to the title the following year: Mina, Zeballos, Hewitt, Bellucci, Almagro, Melzer, Soderling. Call me biased, but that looks considerably easier.
The better comparison would be the draw Federer and Nadal had when they completed the Career Slam. Federer's draw at RG 2009 was harder than Nadal's draw at USO 2010.

A nice theory. As far as the final opponent is concerned, I think Nadal's draw was *MUCH* harder but it's all subjective and pointless anyway since the players do not control the draw and can only beat the player who is in front of you.

Monaco - Del Potro - Nadal - Wawrinka - Robredo - Dimitrov - Chardy - Berdych

Djoker in 2010 sucked in the first 3 slams and lost to Melzer whereas Soderking stunned the clay GOAT. Not a lot of difference in quality.

Fed beat two top players in RG 09 Del Potro and Soderling and an excellent Haas, Nadal only defeated one at the USO (plus his Spanish slaves)

Del Potro was never going to keep focused even if the French Open was gifted to him 3 times. In semis, he's allergic to staying fit & beating anyone when he's up 2 sets and break points.

Yeah, how fair to compare Soderling's match match of the tournament where he reached the final to Djoker's performances from his other, bad Slams. You make no sense.

I've already explained that the fanboys Del Potro and Haasi choked to their Master Fed.

Monaco - Del Potro - Nadal - Wawrinka - Robredo - Dimitrov - Chardy - Berdych

Soderking was hot in that tournament, he smashed Denko and beat Gonzo after the big upset.

I think Federer's RG draw is definitely harder than Nadal's USO draw. And his 'original' draw had Djokovic in his half.

You're saying your fave Del Potro is a Fed bendover merchant?

And then in the final he was nervous and played much worse than he did before.

He was but Fed played his best match of the tournament, plus his variety is a bad match up hence the h2h.

And Mattroll has done it again, turning a thread about Fedole into a Nadull clownfest. Nadull's USO 2010 was the end of tennis as we know it.

I never figured you for a Fedtard, but this is just pathetic fanboyism. Federer's 2009RG was one of the weakest runs in history. Choking vlay clown Haas, no fitness choking Del Shitro and nervous first time slam finalist Soderling.

In fact, Noserer's RG runs were extremely weak as far as opponents went. In 2008, for example, Nadal had to face very good Djoker, while Noserer played Monfils. Noserer benefitted from a lot of clown draws on clay - even in masters, Roddick in madrid 2009, while Nadal faced Djoker again...lol.

You mean Del Potro. Federer beat Del Potro in Madrid 2009 semis, dropshotting him to death

Fed's 05 and 08 RGs were pretty weak I agree.

Nadal's USO draw besides the final was pretty meek though wouldn't you agree? Clowns like LaLo, Fiasco and a washed up Youzhny before Djokovic?

Roger did play Roddick in Madrid in 2009 as well as Delpo. Beat them both but lost a set to A-Rod .
