Federer. Djokovic has taken too long to come into his own. He's not exactly young anymore, so he isn't catching up with 5 RG finals. I don't see Nadal giving up the RG crown for the next couple of years either.

Proud fan of Olderer, the GOAT.

Re: Who will end up with the better clay career? Djokovic or Federer?

Federer, as he had to battle IMO best clay-courter of all time and still managed to win some tournaments and 1 RG.

Fan list: Cilic, Federer, Coric

P.S. Watch out for Donna Vekic and Borna Coric, 2020. Hopman cup winners. - posted in 2011, let's see if it happens

Re: Who will end up with the better clay career? Djokovic or Federer?

The usual way to measure the succesfulnes of a tennis career at the top is with GS trophies. So Djokovic needs at least two RGs to have a better clay career.

But that doesn't mean Djokovic would be a better clay player for his time. Nadals clay level was probably ahead of his time.

Federer.

Re: Who will end up with the better clay career? Djokovic or Federer?

Even if Djokovic wins 2, Federer will still have a better clay career, as he had to face Nadal for his entire career. No real discussion here.
And I don't get this Federer-Djokovic debates career wise. Sure, they are very close now, but Djokovic is just past his peak and Federer is 31. In terms of careers, Federer is far ahead on every surface and/or aspect.

Djokovic. Once Nadal slips down a bit, Djokovic will be the #1 on the surface and have a very good chance of winnign 2 RG for sure.

2013 might be a great chance as Nadal might not find his rhythm in time for RG after such a long absence.

Comepetition sure counts, but Djokovic lost to Nadal almost as much as Roger at Roland Garros, so that doesn't really matter.

Federer.

No way Djokovic reaches 5 RG finals. He almost lost to Tsonga and struggled against Seppi this year and for some reason the Serb is a good claycourt player but not that great at RG.

He will struggle to even win 1 RG title.

I won`t be surprised to see Fed having better clay season next year than Novak actually. To my mind Novak has no chance to win this comparison.

Gasquet is next №1

Depends on if Nole can beat Rafa at RG.

I just want to see Nole annihilate Rafito in the SF and lose the F to Roger. That would be hilarious.

Dream on. It's not going to happen.

Monaco - Del Potro - Nadal - Wawrinka - Robredo - Simon - Berdych - Dimitrov - Chardy
