pfft...being better than djoker of '12 is nothing to brag home about.

Roger Federer ~ Rafael Nadal

"Seemingly contrary forces which are not only interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, but only give rise to each other in turn."

Does that mean Djokovic is the GOAT?!

slam count starting in 2011 (period that matters = strong era):

djokovic- 4
nadal - 2
federer - 1.

I think you nailed it.
Obviously Djokovic is the GOAT of the strong era.

Re: Federer 2012 > Djokovic 2012?

If we're basing this thread on "better" meaning who has the best results this year - the least subjective quantifiable approach, then clearly Federer has been better so far.

It is pretty close, which makes the hard court series coming up so fascinating. Imagine if Nadal comes back from his break juiced up and raring to go, then we have three way fight for the number one spot.

I'm uncertain as to whether Federer can sustain his form until the end of the year, mainly due to his age and decline in general consistency of play. On the other hand, Djokovic is both young and fit, so I can see him getting a second wind and finishing stronger in the US Open. And if Nadal returns, he's such a fighter, you cannot discount him from the last major of the year.

Good post. We need less trolls and more posts like this on MTF.

roddick is great for freeing federer's draws.
no retirement any time for roddick and miss roddick.
cash eases brat dick's life and dick hates djoker's opposite life.

I've just joined but wanted to say that you are one of the worst posters ever.

Also, I think Roger has had a slightly better year so far, but it is all to play in the last 4 months! I can see them meeting in the Olympic Final.
