Djokovic's 2011 was not a great whole season since he crashed in the fall, so he was basically on a hot streak for a few months.
Sampras has multiple slams seasons 4 times and won a slam in 8 consecutive seasons. What about Nole?
Nole is not in the same league as Sampras. Again, this is common sense.
Of course he's not, Sampras is one of the GOATs
. But he never had a 3-slam year, not to mention winning 5 masters', so I'd say Nole did have a great season, one of the best of the open era.
Federer's 3 slam seasons, especially 2006 and 2007 were better. 2005 and 2004, he didn't play much post US Open, though he did win the WTF in 2004 and reached the final.
Dismissing Nole's season as a "hot streak" is disrespecting his great achievement.
