Well done, big boy. You took a chunk of the old man so you deserve your bronze silver .

Good comeback for Delpo from injury and surgery.

I missed most of this match because of the final, but what I did see Djokovic seemed to be playing worse than he did against murray, more errors and putting hands up etc .

Delpo was really emotional after that win, more so than Murray was. I'm glad he prevailed over Djokovic, who hasn't really been the same since losing the French. I can totally picture Djokovic crying to his pet poodle right now.

Losing to GOAT isn't something to be ashamed of

Losing to Del-Shitro is embarrassing, however.

Healthy Olderer losing to a "mug moonballer" in a slam final 6-1 6-3 6-0 was even worse, but of course, Fedtards like you tend to forget that match and instead bring up every match Nadal lost. Might I remind you that your God choked to Del-Shitro in USO final?

"I don't have the words to explain," Del Potro said. "It's similar to winning a Grand Slam (title) or maybe even bigger. It's amazing."

Of course he feels this way even though he's got a real GS. He got the ONLY medal for Argentina. So yeah, it's a big deal for his country. It's like when Novak won the medal at Beijing. Not many are winning medals for Serbia.
Britain gets tons of medals in Olympics.

Bronze doesn't seem like much but it's still a medal and something to be proud of.

Glad Murray got the gold though, he needed it much more than anyone else and another loss would have been too much. He's a hard worker and today he really deserved what he got.

Come to think of it, JMDP recovered well after losing to Ferrer at the Davis Cup final --- even though he lost both times, he didn't show too much physical fatigue when playing Rafa last year in Sevilla.

This time, he executed his game to his best and played an excellent match against Djokovic. The fact that Djokovic served much better than JMDP, yet still lost, shows the improvements that JMDP made to his game. I'm so happy for this win, I don't think I've ever been so happy to see an athlete win bronze medal at the Olympics before. To an outsider it might "just look like bronze," but after seeing how JMDP played Federer in the semi-final, and how honestly happy and proud he was to beat Djokovic for 3rd, the tennis singles bronze medal shines something special this year!

Gonzo would be proud
