Yes, because men's tennis is about servebots, ball bashers and ball pushers. No thank you.
Tennis pretty much dies when Federer retires.

Sorry to del Potro and his fans. It's always tough to lose a match like that.

I wasn't convinced del Potro was actually at a level good enough to consistently challenge, at least before this match. On the hard-courts, del Potro can turn these performances into wins, I'm sure of it.

It was just meant to be for Roger, but for some reason, I'm not that happy. I guess del Potro losing is tough.

Re: Olympics SF: Federer overcomes Del Potro 3-6 7-6 19-17

What a match. I don’t know how Fed managed to pull through, because it really felt like Delpo was unstoppable and clearly had the mental edge after breaking back to love in the third and holding those service games from 0-40 and 0-30. Not to mention Fed had the added pressure of serving second in the final set. Outstanding stuff from both guys. Delpo’s dive volley at 8-8, 0-30

Well done, Escaperer.

Shame Delpo couldn't pull it off. Hope Murray/Nole win the gold now. Great chance for both.

Re: Olympics SF: Federer overcomes Del Potro 3-6 7-6 19-17

Anyone catch Federer start to tear up in his post match interview? Winning the first medal for Switzerland in this Olympics clearly means a TON to him.

Can someone tell me why Del Po is usually so bad on grass? Is it the low bounce that hurts him just like Isner?

Congrats Federer on your silver medal you choking bastard.

I hope Del Potro will win a slam

Great match but Federer was so nervous (with good reason of course)

Delpo deserves bronze at least, I feel so sorry for him ...

But Fed - come on, take the gold ! (but silver is good too)

Roger Federer - Martin Klizan - Lukas Lacko - Milos Raonic - Fernando Verdasco

Dustin Brown - Nick Kyrgios - Norbert Gombos - Stanislas Wawrinka - Dominic Thiem

that once again, if was needed, shows the planet who the GOAT is

Delpo played like a maniac and Fed still done it, in his kingdom, his domain, Wimbledon.

who knows what he will have left for the final now, obviously if Nole wins the final it will always have an asterix next to it

must feel bad for Delpo.. just hope keeps up with this from now and gets in NoleDal's draws for a change

Hatas must be gutted beyond all words after that

Tough to digest this really.

I hope he doesn't go on a downward spiral like Roddick

Wow epic in all aspects, Delpo is such a warrior.
Fed secures first medal for Switzerland, you could just see how much it meant to both of them. Fed served too good, glad he has a chance for the gold now.
