Re: The Olympics Draw Thread

I've been looking through pictures from London. They all seem to be so happy and excited that it makes me care more about OG tennis

The most recent is actually Australian Open 2012. 5th seed Ferrer and 6th seed Tsonga drawn in the top half

Re: The Olympics Draw Thread

Tennis gods give Roger an easy draw for a change.
No big servers or big hitters. Clay court specialists please. Also tipsarevic for the quarters and ferrer for the semis.

Thank you

Yeah, man, I so wish he gets some luck for a change. His Wimbledon draw was a horror .

Re: The Olympics Draw Thread

I dont mind a difficult draw for Federer but I want Murray to beat Djokovic in SF so I dont want Murray in Fed's half.

Berdych, Tsonga, Raonic can all be thrown to Federer's quarter. Wouldnt mind it.

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

LOL, his Wimbledon was a horror, that's the most hilarious thing i ever heard, the only hard opponent in his draw was Djokovic

I think it was meant sarcastically. Even Djokovic was not really an unlucky draw, as the alternative was Nadal. Before the tournament that wouldn't have looked much better.

As a Fed fan for several years, I cannot really say I understand this "Always difficult draw"-argument some uses. Fed has had some difficult draws, sure, but over the long haul I wouldn't describe his draws as either generally easy nor generally difficult. Even the much discussed "Djokovic streak" where he always drew Djoko in the SF wasn't that much of an imposition until 2011 as a Murray SF wouldn't necessarily have been that much easier for him.

Thanks, I guess I haven't paid enough attention to this.

At the WTF, though, 5 and 6 never meet in group play. That is an exception, then.

That's different because its round robin, no comparison at all. They are trying to balance each group as possible.
