This kid looks as if he has real potential. He is just flying through the rankings. I hope he has a good run. Enquist is always a tough opponent.

Last I saw GM (Wimbledon final), he was still playing junior-looking tennis. What's going on?

I seems that he can do well on indoor surfaces. I'm interested to see how he'll do next season.

SINCE THERE'S NO TENNIS ACTION I WENT FOR TONGUE ACTION

To be fair, most of the people who were making those comments about him don't exactly scout juniors very often and probably didn't *really* know what they were talking about. Some of them probably did, but I wouldn't read too much into what was said about his boys Wimbledon tournament.

Anyways, good for him. Glad to hear that he's doing so well

EDIT : Erm, when you said GM I guess you meant HIM and not "general messages". My mistake. In that case, well... do you scout juniors often? I certainly don't I wouldn't read too much into how he plays other juniors and assume that he can't do more than that

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Re: Monfils def. Enqvist 1-6 6-4 6-3!

Gael's service action is a total replica of Andy Roddick's. The commentators seemed to suggest this was deliberate or did I hear that wrong? He looks really loose hitting the groundstrokes - it all looks really flowing and easy. He did very well after losing that first set but Enqvist had points for 5-5 in the second and he should have won at least one of them on a volley but missed. It just shows how certain points can swing a match totally. His legs are very skinny from the knee down but given a couple of years when he fills out a bit more and gets a bit more overall power and he'll be near the top, no doubt.

I did want Enqvist to win today though. Some of his hitting in the first set was like watching him 5 years ago again.

You think so?

He has a long loose-limbed quality that is appealing, I think.

.
Something I have noticed is all the top players have extremely well developed calf muscles no matter how skinny they might be elsewhere. Guga has calves that look like small tree trunks. It will be interesting to me to see how Monfils fills out.
