quality wasn't the best, but steve has a great serve and forehand to build on. The backhand really needs help, so hopefully he can improve that to go further.

The don....horrible stuff. He is heading back to u.s. challengers by the end of the year.

I wasn't aware there was a camera on this court. How did you watch it?

More than his serve and FH (good, but need improvement), I was impressed by SJ volley skills

Offensive-prone and some flashy tennis but BH is a mess, though. All in all a player who will be interesting to follow in the future imo..

Good point, his volleying was actually the sharpest part of his game. His serve and forehand are usually more consistent than they were today.

I only caught from when Stevie got the break in the deciding set. At this point, the quality was not great, but I hear he started the match very well. He could indeed be a good player in the future!

First maindraw win as a pro, congrats. And yeah Steve really needs to work on that backhand, but his forehand is awesome though.

To say this isn't expected is blasphemy, although I'm surprised it went to three sets.

Young has had worse losses than this. Johnson may be low-ranked and inexperienced on the pro tour, but he's supposed to be a major talent and one of the best college tennis players ever.
