Roger Federer

Form is temporary, class is permanent

"The more you lose, the more they believe they can beat me. But believing is not enough, you still have to beat me" RF.

"He is capable of hitting shots which others don't even think about trying" Lendl on RF.

08/07/12 Eternal and immortal RF made H1S7ORY!

Now go for 300!

Fan list: Cilic, Federer, Coric

P.S. Watch out for Donna Vekic and Borna Coric, 2020. Hopman cup winners. - posted in 2011, let's see if it happens

can you explain how you estimated that ?

what are those 5.88 and 6.5 years ?

it's already very tough to estimate numbers of weeks before the rankings were updated weekly (mid-1984), but doing that even before the ATP rankings started and before the open era !?

he has quite a big chance to keep it until the end of Bercy tournament : on the next monday, he will lose 3000 points (Basel+Bercy+WTF points will drop off on the same monday). Hence he has quite a big chance of reaching those 300 weeks.

Before that, he will only lose 1000 points (270 points before the US Open and 720 points during the US Open, nothing between the US Open and Bercy).

Djokovic will lose 1600 points before the US Open and 2000 points during the US Open.

Which means that until the US Open (included), Djokovic has to get 2685 points more, and Nadal 2570 points more than Fed, to get the number 1 after the US Open.

PS : Djokovic also has a very good chance to get the number 1 back at least for one week after the Olympics if he does as well as Fed in the Olympics and reaches at least the quarterfinals. But one week later he will lose 1000 points from Montreal, and Fed only 90 points.

When Roger kept on saying "I can get back to number #1", I bet everybody rolled their eyes. He believed he could do it. He planned it well and executed well.

We've been waiting (and praying) for over two years for another slam and getting back to number #1.

Congrats, Roger. You are the best.

That's not really a lot, is it? Here's a link to an online sports store.

http://www.sportchek.ca/family/index...n=Brand%7CNike

Mass-produced men's NIKEs run from $120-$205. These are customized and limited edition (only 287 being made), so it's not that far off from the price of regular running shoes.

Quite a record for Fed, under the circumstances it's one of the finest tennis achievements.

Fed's in his own tier and it's still not over.
