Oscar Hernandez is clearly a typical Spanish claycourter, but I believe he has some potential on hardcourts, as well, if he gives it a try. He has an excellent serve and solid forehand and is a fighter on court, which certainly profits him on clay. If he is timid, I don't know... I watched him against Luis Horna in Acapulco earlier this year and he really busted out at the lines judge after he footfaulted him saying (Spanish speaker please forgive my grammar...): "Que pasa contigo, señor?? Todo el partido estas durmiendo y ahora despertaste!! PORQUE??". In English that is something like "What is going on with you, sir? You have been sleeping all match, and now you woke up? WHY??" I was watching the match with some of the Spanish tennis girls (Parra,Marrero,Sanchez Lorenzo) and we had a very good laugh, at least.
Earlier he had been screaming out his disgust with the strong Mexican sun (!) so I don't know how timid he is.
