Loved this final, it was high quality. At the start I thought Murray was finally going to "start" his GS winning career when Federer was playing pretty mug-like but it was not to be.

I wonder if Murray will ever win a slam. Fed seems to think so but I dunno...

Also it is worth mentioning that Federer had a GOAT BH shank in the first or second set, it was like a home run

Game over. Forever.

he will, just need to avoid nole/roger/rafa in the final

Rafa! Rafa! Rafa!

Epic movies, like brokeback mountain, are seldom found in the industry or worthy for the mainstream viewer. As often as I have watched the clips of this movie, I always find something more to it. For one, the gay stuff doesn't enter the picture for me, only the dimension of the highest love I have ever witnessed in life or on film.

What is Fed supposed to say with a mike in his face on court in front of a suicidal crowd?

he surely can, especially with Nadal in us open final, but the haunting views of being beaten by them in slams/slams final will keep running in his minds should he face them again in the finals, better change the opponents to others in order to feel better mentally

Federer's first slam - Wimbledon, 2003 v Phillipoussis #48
Djokovic's first slam - Australia, 2008 v Tsonga #38

All of Murray's GS finals have been against these two: if he had had the break these two had to get considerably lower-ranked opponents for their first slam win, there is a strong possibility he would have won at least one. Is it asking too much of the tennis gods to let him meet somebody lower ranked next time he makes a final?

Good point, that one. You can add Nadal - first slam FO 2005 v Puerta #37.

You forget that Nole won against Federer in the semis then. So he played Federer and Tsonga to get his first win - Murray also played Tsonga and Federer and lost. basically you're asking that Murray doesn't meet a top player during the whole tournament, that's a bit too much.

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

Tsonga from AO 2008 would rip apart Mugray in a new one.

Funny that he did in the first round of AO08, even before he switched on God mode from QF onwards

The same is true, of course, for Nadal as well. He beat Federer in the semi final in RG 2005.

Murray fans should stop using this as an excuse for him. If Del Potro could seize the moment in 2009, why couldn't Murray?
