Agreed it doesn't hurt for once if a new face emerges.

I think that if anything, that loss might have served him when it comes to his chances at Wimbledon.
Imagine how much fired up he will be if he faces Djoker again.

Needs to serve like he did against Federer last year, if he wants to beat Murray.

I like Tsonga but these "tennis would be the winner" posts if someone's favourite wins are hilarious.

Tennis has done very nicely in the last few years without Tsonga winning a slam so deal with it.

sad for kohli. but usually you cant win a bo5 if you lose 2 breaker

still great tournament for him

grass-tennis wins if we will see a fed-tsonga final...

good match. would be great if jo takes it all, but he really needs to be in the zone for the next two matches.

He can beat Ferrer/Murray on this surface without being in the zone.
Fed/Djoker is obviously a whole different matter.

Well that sucks, another boring top 6 tournament.

I was hoping when Nadal lost that we could have a finalist say out of the top 10. Oh well, I like Tsonga so i guess I'll cheer for him now

Kohli should have won in 3.

Great result Jo, defended SF points! Would be brilliant if Tsonga catches fire and wins this somehow.

Very good match. Kohli playing at a level way above his ranking and making Jo work very hard.

Well done, Jo. Now go have some rest and gear up for what's coming: only two more matches left, time to play your best tennis. ALLEZ.

Hope Jo makes the final .

Meanwhile, wtf has happened to Kohli's serve . Or is it just my memory? The guy is hitting it MUCH harder than I remembered. Hit the 130's today. Been bulking up? If I had to pick something up, the action is probably faster with a lower ball toss.

Only Del Potro can take him out before the semis, and he won't. Nadal is winning the AO, bet your house on it.

Kohli has been known to up the ante on his serve on random occasions. Hit over 40 aces in his victory over Roddick at the AO in 2008. Just been on a longer stretch of form this time but hopefully it remains a consistent part of his game.

Well, to be fair, I bet the Rochus brothers hit 40 aces against Roddick. He's an awful returner, gets aced a lot
