Well Hema it's not about sets lost, more like the accumulation of court time in these 2 months I guess, and who knows, maybe he hurt the knee on this blue stuff in Madrid. He did not look all that convincing at RG, could've even lost the final to Nole, you know that - if the petulant Nadal hadn't demanded it to be cancelled for the Sunday evening.
This is all true. The only problem I have with it is that again it makes it look as if injure free Rafa always plays 100% on clay and doesn't lose. And I know you do.not believe that! He looked fine in Rome and he looked fine in RG.
maybe not his best on clay but that doesn't necessarily mean there was anything going on with his knee or that he overplayed. He played the exact same clay tournaments he Has been playing for years including during his "golden years".
I am not doubting this knee thing he is claiming, btw.
it's just the postponing the exo part that really bugs me.
