Re: A question...

funny my wife was asking me about that yesterday. I wasn't sure, I figured it was for sweaty hands, but they only do it for a second so I don't see how that could dry anything.

dry up sweaty hands, slippery hands will make you lose grip and get blisters faster

Re: S.Q.T. (stupid question thread)

Will both Nole and Stan be out of Top 10 after the season? I'm not exactly familiar with the dynamics of the rankings this year. Thanks!

Djokovic will definitely be out of top-10 before the end of the season.

For Wawrinka, he'll probably stay inside. The points he's accumulated in 2017 has more often than not been enough for top-10 in the past.

Re: S.Q.T. (stupid question thread)

A player gains a 10 point bonus, if they at least participate at the main main draw of a Masters or Slam. However, do Qualified players who just withdrew from the tournament before his Main Draw match started be awarded with those bonuses? Does it mean also that those who qualified on those gets an additional 10 points? Does it mean in addition to the 25 points they earn for Qualifying, they also get 10 bonus points that totals to 35 (a jump from 16 if they lost the last qualifying round)?

How does ATP calculate WTF Qualification cut?

How is "ATP WTF Qualification cut" calculated?
How do you know that at this time you need 4930 points to advance to WTF?

Re: Wtf

Presumably they have a computer program running an algorithm to determine what the maximum number of points that 9 different players could all earn(Or before all the slams are over 8 different guys as you have the slam winner in the top 20 exception) with the events that are remaining, and as events happen that number gets lower and lower as the results needed for 9 guys to reach this mark often don`t happen, thus lowering it, while specific players add points and eventually pass the mark to qualify.

It would likely be extremely complicated to do by hand until you get close to the end of the year.

Re: S.Q.T. (stupid question thread)

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me on this - I have promised to take my girlfriend to see Federer in a match, so I plan to take her to the ATP world tour finals in London this year. Would I be have to wait until the scheduling is done to guarantee I get her Federer tickets, or would I need to buy them before in case they sell out? I would assume that Federer would be scheduled in an evening session, but obviously I still might not pick the right session if I buy them now... so would I be able to exchange my tickets for a different night if that were the case? Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks.
