Yes. What is left of this year: On Monday, St. Petersburg and Vienna will come off. Then the entire rest of the season will come off the week after, leaving the rankings and the race identical, at least for all higher ranked players (not necessarily those playing challengers)

Nadal being out of the WTF, Del Po's spot there will be guaranteed in the end of this week if :
- Almagro doesn't win Valencia and Gasquet doesn't win Basel
- or if he wins Basel

EDIT : WRONG Del Po is certain to be allowed to take part in the WTF as he will be at worse number 9 after Paris.

Del Potro has officially qualified. He can't finish lower than 9 .Only one of Almagro/Gasquet/Tipsarevic can finish ahead of him

Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings [in Post #1]

As for Tsonga, he can only fear a final in Paris-Bercy between two of Tipsarevic, Almagro, Gasquet, Monaco and Cilic, a final which Monaco and Cilic should win anyway (and Cilic should reach Valencia final before), and Almagro and Gasquet should win it as well if they don't win Valencia for Almagro and Basel for Gasquet (and Tsonga should not go too far of course : a quarterfinal in Paris would be enough for him anyway)

well, only Tipsarevic still has to fear the guys behind him, I guess.

But Tsonga would need QF in Paris to confirm it. If he does that, he won't care about the others.

Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings [in Post #1]

Anyone knows why Mathieu didn't get a SE in Paris and had to get a WC?
It means that if he loses, he will get 0 points instead of 10.

the WC was given a few days ago, he could only get the SE tonight ... if he asked for it because you have to ask for a SE if I'm not mistaken.

MAybe he just didn't ask the SE, I will ask in the "Paris entry-list" thread.

Smucav answered in the "PAris entry list thread" :

Paris Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated October 30, 2012)

and another post by Judio earlier in the same thread also took some extracts from the rulebook which show that it's not easy at all for the special exempt thing if you're still playing late on friday when the main draw/qualifying draw are made.

According to Smucav, if MAthieu had given up his wildcard AND lost yesterday, he would have lost every possibility to play.

Dodig had already entered Eckental : you can't ask a SE if you've already entered another tournament.

Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings [in Post #1]

Only way Tsonga would not qualify for WTF is if Almagro beats Tipsarevic in the final of Paris. That said, he can beat Almagro in R3 and officially qualify.

Tipsarevic needs the players ranked below him (Gasquet, Almagro, Monaco, Raonic and Isner) not to make the final and Cilic and Dolgopolov not to win it. Dolgopolov would need a Valencia final, at least, as well.

Djokovic | Tipsarevic | Querrey

No, not yet. A Federer victory in Basel will leave him 1865 points behind Djokovic, with 2500 points left to play for this season.

Is the ranking here wrong?
Shouldn't Federer be number 1 for a week more?
