Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings [in Post #1]

Thanks decreptitude, Vienna was reversed with Moscow in the detailed breakdown, such errors remains from the times when I was adding players manually, so such mistakes may exist in Top players until probably this following spring. Thank you and anyone else who pays close attention and spots such errors.

It will appear correctly at the next automatic update.

Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings [in Post #1]

I have a question. Roger Federer still have Basel points in and was awarded a 0 point by Tokyo. So after Basel he will get his Doha 90 points this year? This means Nole's SF at Bercy and 2 wins are not enouth.

Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings [in Post #1]

After Basel, Federer will have 2 Basel in his rankings breakdown for one week, meaning the 150 from Halle will be temporarily out. After Paris, the Basel from last year is dropped out, and he gets his 150 back, but Paris and London drop out on that Monday.

Nole's SF and 2 wins are enough.

Re: Unofficial Live ATP Rankings [in Post #1]

So roger's points at Doha this year will not count in Year-End?
Thus he will only get 4 500 events[Basel, Rotterdam, Dubai, London 2012]and Halle?

The rule says a top player like Roger can get 2 250 events?

If he reaches QF in Basel he gets:
4 500 events: Basel (90+), Rotterdam(500), Dubai(500) and Tokyo(0).
The Olympics (450).
1 250 event: Halle (150).

If he doesn't reach QF in Basel he gets:
3 500 events: Rotterdam(500), Dubai(500) and Tokyo(0).
The Olympics (450).
2 250 events: Halle(150) and Doha(90).

If he doesn't go to Basel, he gets:
4 500 events: Basel (0), Rotterdam(500), Dubai(500) and Tokyo(0).
The Olympics (450).
1 250 event: Halle (150).

He can get as many 250 or 500 events that count as the Best 6.

ATP changed the rules last year and it was gradually implemented this year (players were allowed to count more 500 events as 500 events from 2011 were dropped out - now they can count the Best 6 as purely the Best 6). He gets 0 from Tokyo because he fails the commitment to play 4 ATP 500. The Olympics isn't a commitment 500 so it doesn't count.

So London 2012 is just counted as a 250 event?
YEC Roger has Rotterdam Dubai Basel as 500
London2012 Halle as 250
Doha will not count?

Novak has MC Dubai Beijing as 500
London2012 as 250?

Let's see Rogers Ranking points these days.
After Shanghai 12165
Before Shanghai 11805
Before US Open 12165

the only change here is the Shanghai SF gives roger 360 points and he lose 360 points in the US open this year than last year.

So the 0 points from Tokyo is awarded to Roger before US Open, is it right?

London 2012 is counted as a 500 but it's not part of the commitment. The rule says that each player must play 4 commitment 500 tournaments which are: the ATP 500 events and Monte Carlo. If a player has London points, they are not counted among the 4 commitment 500 tournaments.
Roger has Rotterdam, Dubai, Basel and Tokyo as commitment 500.
Halle as 250.
London 2012 as non-commitment 500.

Novak will have Dubai, Beijing, Basel and MC as commitment 500. He gets 0 points for Basel if he doesn't play for failing to complete the commitment.
London 2012 as non-commitment 500.

But Novak has an advantage. He has 17 tournaments + WTF counting, so the 0 he gets from Basel does not affect his rankings.

Roger already had a 0 in Tokyo from last year. The one this year replaced the one from last year.
