I don't know if a thread like this one exists, I'm only aware of the Funny Videos thread but this is different.
This is a place to post artistic videos of your favorite players with background music and so on, maybe even your own videos. So far, these are two of my favorite videos. The first is a slow-motion beautiful video of the Top 4 with the epic music of Adagio for Strings from the String Quartet, Op. 11.
The second is a tribute to Nole's career with many private images I've never seen before that starts when he was just a little kid until his victory this year in Australia. Check all Jean's videos because she's such an amazing artist.
Enjoy.
It is. Classical music goes so well with tennis. I could watch an entire match with that music in the background. It's poetry in motion, it makes you focus on the movement and nothing else.
I record lots of tennis matches (whatever TSN decides to broadcast in Canada)... then I play some awesome classical music in the background and turn off my TV sound completely. Pure poetry , no silly commentators, just tennis and music, love it.
Nadal may have won 7 RG, he may win another 5 more but Guga will always be the champ Paris deserved. I bet Parisians do love Guga more than Rafa. (although I never understood why Paris didn't embrace Nadal as much as they do)
Just look at these vids. First the impulsive thing he did after he won RG for a 3rd time.
Retirement speech. Did you know Guga's dad died in an accident when Guga was just 8? Larri Passos took him under his wings and convinced the Kuerten family that Gustavo could make a living out of tennis. He became his coach, friend and his second father. Skip to 1.30 and see a beautiful scene. Guga giving his love to Larri and Larri pounding his heart. There are subtitles in this vid.
and last but not least, the Guga tribute in 2010 when he played an exho in Rio de Janeiro against Agassi.
That smile, those emotions.First couple of minutes... Obrigado Guga!
Requiem for a Dream together with the words "Cause this man's in town. The greatest player ever to play the game...certainly the most talented individual, the most well rounded player to ever play this game"
Although I'm not a big Djoko fan, what he achieved last year was truelly remarkable and his fans put a vid together for him which he posted on FB earlier.
I think together with the instrumental song it also qualifies for epic.
Amazing two videos from indianBale. One day when the Fab Four are gone we will realise what we have lost. I see this vid and I feel nostalgic already. This Golden Era won't be repeated.
great vid
Really interesting first person perspective.
