Frew McMillan the best commentator around?

Been listening to Frew for many years, and now in the Eastbourne match Roddick-Darcis.

I've always found his commentary to be spot on, very accurate, very fair, hardly any bias. Good explanations, and hardly ever talks during the point. All the ingredients needed for a good commentator.

Re: Frew McMillan the best commentator around?

Frew is brilliant. I guess he can be heard on many different channels? Eurosport doesn't show men's tennis that much, just the three Slams. Is Frew working for some South African channels during SW19? But I can't understand why they sometimes pair him with Bradnam? It's like an insult towards McMillan. The other thing I find odd is that why are they changing commentators during big matches on Eurosport? McMillan commentates the first set of the finals, then Wilander the second, McMillan the third etc.

I like the old timers, Barrett, Mercer and Reed too. Nowadays everyone is peeing their pants about Goodall and Koenig. They could be reading the bloody phonebook and apparently everyone would die laughing. It's like Benny Hill or something.

Thank God Tilden isn't around demanding commentator jobs! He would probably want to do some locker room coverage. And the poor juniors would be horrified.
