You probably watched it during Roland Garros on Eurosport sometime between 2004 and 2008. I don't normally like adverts but there's something unique about the Eurosport selection.

The matches I will remember the most of Clement are two he lost at Roland Garros, in 2002 against Corretja and in 2004 against Santoro. Both of which he was 2 sets down and came back to lose in 5. He lost a lot of 5 setters in Paris.

Maybe he'll do well in the doubles at Wimbledon. He carried Llodra through a lot of rough patches in that crucial match.

Re: Arnaud Clement retires from tennis

He is gorgeous and not just a 7 foot freaky baseline ball basher type. I hope all the very best for him.

All the very best for 2013 to:

Aga; Ana; Maria; Vika. Come on Caroline, prove everyone wrong!

Andy, Novak. Have a wonderful 2013!!

Re: Arnaud Clement retires from tennis

it's definitely time It's hard for him to even get into main draws these days. It did bother me how awful he could be to the innocent ballkids. That was uncalled for. He did provide some entertaining matches during his career though and made the most of his talent.

Re: Arnaud Clement retires from tennis

Clément was a very talented and wily shotmaker who was great to watch when he was on in form. He was able to take the ball very early like Agassi.

To be honest there were many times when I thought he was an asshole for his treatment of ballboys, but now is not the time to go into great detail on that.

That 2001 Aussie Open SF when he saved 2 match points to beat his doubles partner at the time Grosjean was entertaining stuff. He was 2 points away from beating Agassi at RG in 1999, and destroyed him in R2 of the US Open in 2000. Admittedly Agassi had a lot of personal problems to deal with at the time, but still a very impressive victory.

Got a doubles slam at Wimbledon in 2007 to add to his singles achievements as well.

All the best to Arnaud in his post-tennis life

A retirement/statistical thread from Voo?

RAFAEL NADAL and GRIGOR DIMITROV

Rafa winning at least one slam in 10 consecutive years is the best achievement in Open Era tennis since Laver won all 4 Grand slam tournaments in the same year!

Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion!

Re: Arnaud Clement retires from tennis

The way he treated the ballkids, who are just young kids and teenagers, was really unacceptable to me.

Did I just step into the twilight zone? I did not know Arnoud Clement was still around, even had fans.
It is like Tommy Haas has fans.
Does he? OMG.
