Monza CH F: Gimeno-Traver def. Montañes 6-2 4-6 6-4

Excellent week for DGT, he needed this event and the points. Anything is an improvement

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Machado wins 6-2 6-1

Average quality match overall. Dani has huge weapons with his serve and forehand and even some occasional big backhands, but makes A LOT of errors. With that being said, his weapons ended up coming through for him in the end, as he kept pushing Montañes way behind the baseline and onto the defensive with his heavy topspin forehand.

Albert grinded hard and that's basically it. He got overpowered today overall and there wasn't much in his hands.

Dani is in the top 105 with this victory, so he's on track to make the USO MD direct. Very nice embrace at the net between the two after the final point. This really meant a lot to Daniel. Hopefully he builds on this.
