CH Nottingham SF: Becker def. Kendrick 6-2 4-6 7-6(8)

A pretty ugly, serve-dominated match, took only an hour and a half. Benni was just a bit more solid in the end and took the victory, after having 6-4 (and *6-5), 7-6 and *8-7 in the tiebreak.

Robert losing a close match is nothing new...I was surprised he actually won the one in Q.

Does Becker have the best serve out of the guys below 180cm in height? I think so, he's short but has an awesome first serve! When he has a high % of those in (rarely, i know) he can be pretty tough on fast surfaces.

He's right up there but the serve percentage issues cost him. He's overrated as a server because of that. But in terms of height, I'd definitely think he's the leader in terms of the pace he gets with his serve. Reminds me a lot of Grosjean in that respect.

best first serve yes.

tipsarevic possibly has a better overall serve when you consider second serve and percentage though.

actually I see tipsy is listed at 180cm. he's in the under 6 feet arbitrary category, but not this one.
