Yeah, that's something I always thought. Federer in 5 setters is usually very poor. Of course that during his prime he didn't need 5 sets most of the time, but every time he played an important match and it went to 5 sets he lost (Of course not always, but a lot of times). Vs Nadal in Rome, vs Nalbandian in Shangai and Australia, vs Safin in Australia, vs Delpo at the USO, etc...and he even was in a winning position and all those matches or even have match points. That shows he is not mentally very strong, or at least not the in the same league as Nadal and Sampras for ej. (a post created some time ago comparing them and Agassi).
