Re: Best claycourters of all time

The best of all time is easily Nadal and there's no need to create a thread that everybody knows the answer to. Anybody who says otherwise is just in denial. There's never been a better physical specimen more suited to the clay court than him.

The BIGGEST (borderline delusional) fan of players on General Message Board according to Forehander:
Grigor Dimitrov: FedererBulgaria
Borna Coric: Crowdmaker
Nick Krygios: Dan.
Tommy Haas: Leng Jai
Sebastien Grosjean: Myself
Novak Djokovic: Chiico (Leader of the No1e Cult)

#1 Borg / Nadal

The rest don't really matter.

The bigger question, will Nadal be considered greater than Borg if he wins RG 2012?

I think he already is.
I mean, I know Borg retired young, but not only the French Open counts here.
Nadal has 16 Masters crowns, Borg has 8. Nadal will win at least, 2 more Montecarlos, one Rome (But that number is AT LEAST. He'll probably win 3/4 Montecarlos 2/3 Romes).

Re: Best claycourters of all time

Yes, Connors is 5th all time, Clerc is 6th, on 300+ clay matches. Federer is actually 7th. Would have to go 17-1 to match Connors in wins/losses.

Re: Best claycourters of all time

Wow, Connors was solid on the clay. I would say that Italian fellow who beat Borg twice at RG and won it in 1976(?). He was better than Borg's bendover pal Vilas.

How can people not put Borg in the top 5 ever on clay?

On Murray

1. Murray wins Wimbledon 2016 after Djokovic is blue shelled by Querrey. Thanks Querrey!

2. Murray wins Olympic Gold for the second time after Djokovic is blue shelled by Del Potro. Thanks Del Potro!

3. Murray wins US Open 2016 after Djokovic is blue shelled by [pending]. Thanks [pending]!
