Roland Garros R4: Roger Federer (SUI) defeats David Goffin (BEL) 5-7 7-5 6-2 6-4

He looks better than Nole, just in decent fashion
Well done Goffin

9!!!!!!!

Rafael Nadal Perera, the best there was, there best there is and the best there will ever be
14 Grand Slams while he was plagued with injuries is remarkable and he isn't done just yet
Mad respect for the most beautiful player I've ever seen, Roger Federer
People talking about Nole winning 4 in a row and Rafa/Roger not being able to. Peak Nadal and Federer would have won multiple CYGS against this field

Fed and Nole both vulnerable here.

This Goffin is good.

Fanboy Goffin starstruck at the net and didn't want 0:15 in the final game. Cute.

Enjoyable match.

Federer is in a slow decline but he's still good enough to beat these kids. Nadal and djokovic will be top 150 level by the time they are 30.

Goffin was good. At least he didn't bend over like he suggested he would.

Nice to see Goffin taking a set out of his idol. I was expecting something easier for Federer. Let's hope Goffin keeps playing like that in the rest of the season...

Goffin wasn't too bad at all.

I'm no Fakervic fan but he needs to save tennis, sadly tree trunk legs will be fresh. Interesting he's never questioned....

Amazing, he defeated LL in less than five sets! GOAT, what else can I say? We're not worthy!

Federer against Goffin and his own BH
Pretty terrible from Federer but the QF is good enough. Hope he finds his form until Wimbledon.

Re: Roger Federer (SUI) defeats David Goffin (BEL) 5-7 7-5 6-2 6-4

David played really well. Gave a great account of himself and even had a chance to go up 2-0 in sets.He fought really well to keep it close in that last set to spite constantly being under pressure from roger and could have gotten on serve early on.

he's definately made a name for himself here and i hope he uses this as a platform for the rest of his season. Nothing to be ashamed of.
