I love "Game, set and Mats" on Eurosport. In his defense: you're bound to say some stupid things when they give you 40 minutes time to talk about tennis every single day on camera.
He is alright during that show. It's the commentary that delivers these jewels.
I don't have anything against it really, since it's quite entertaining to me.
In comparison, Simon Reed is a flawless announcer/commentator yet when he gets to writing an editorial all hell breaks loose. It's part orchestrated, part hazard.
I think in Wilander's case it's just his personality and the fact that he talks as much as a woman.
