Roger Federer Moves Clear Of Connors For Most Major Match Wins

Roger Federer, who is competing at his 50th major championship, is now 233-35 lifetime at the Grand Slams. It was also the 50th victory of his career.

"It's a big record, because that was longevity," said Roger Federer. "Jimmy is obviously one of the greats of all time, and was around for 20 years. so I'm very happy."

congrats

Nadal "Sampras, Ivanisevic match. or one between those kind of players, is not enjoyable. It's not really tennis. it is a few swings of the racquet. For me in the past it was just serve. serve". arrogance.

clay excluded. successive win 0. If grass and a hard are fast. Like Sampras era. Nadal is able to win only with clay. power of defense and muscles. boring ugly. All the surface is slow now.

fake time-out. cheat. gamesmanship. too noisy annoying always. excuse. boycotts threatened. always dissatisfaction cry complaints. dissatisfaction to schedule. selfish two-year ranking. bump to player. ugly protest. always exaggerated appeal of self condition. etc. overrated by fanatic arrogant blind fan

He's not amazing.

When I look at that stat, what's most impressive is the 35 losses. If you put that against 16 slams, 16-35, winning almost 1 of every 3 slams. Not bad Rog, not bad at all.

Watch me: He's not amazing.

He's better than Philippoussis, but that doesn't make him amazing.

Rafa, now that's an amazing beast!

Can we stick to talking about the noteworthy achievement and not whether my grandpa is more impressive than your grandpa.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Roger Federer Moves Clear Of Connors For Most Major Match Wins

Great stuff More impressive in my view is the fact that he now has 270 matches played at the slams; should break Agassi's record of 277 this year.

Will Federer regain the #1 spot and break Sampras's record for most weeks at the top?

Roger // Rafa // Raonic // Söderling // Goffin // Ivo // Wawrinka // Baker // Delpo
