Roland Garros R3: Berdych def. Anderson 6-4 3-6 6-7(4) 6-4 6-4

Tough one for the Berdman but got it done in the end. Big Kev double faulting to give the break in the 5th didn't hurt.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

That was a great, composed fight back from Tomas. Tomas finally started to hit the first big shot in the points in the 4th set and it paid off.

Another Game for Milos

Berdych lost four previous five-setters at Roland Garros, 6 out of 7 these defeats on clay.

big test for the berdman, he should be prepared now for a possible qf-battle against fed.

Tough win but a great win.

Tomas seem exhausted too, he has overplayed prior to this event, I think. Wouldn't be surprised to see Cilic (or Del Potro, but his health is a big issue) beat him next round. Still, 4th round is a good showing. His chances are far better at Wimbledon in a few weeks than here.

That said, he might have some reserves for the rest of the tournament, we'll see.

Bad draw. Hopefully a better one at US Open where he can make some real inroads.

That was "winning ugly" from Berdych. Well done. Solid in the end (5th set).
Quality was not that high, especially in that 3rd set tiebreak.
Mentally tough from Berdych, but not from (in the end tired) Anderson.

Both have so many winners because of serve and because both were not moving well. That was not claycourt tennis for 1 minute, it was hardcourt tennis with huge serves, especially from Anderson. But the movement is like 10% too slow (for Anderson) and 5% too slow (for Berdych.) which is a bit disappointing.
Both can't handle the slice really well, you always knew where they gonna hit their shots after a slice.

All in all, not the best match. Berdych in R4 but not in great shape.

Re: Roland Garros R3: Berdych def. Anderson 6-4 3-6 6-7(4) 6-4 6-4

Best quality match so far this week. Unfortunately Anderson didn't take his chances early in the 4th and was too tired in the end.

Federer |Söderling |most of the Germans

I also like: Wawrinka | Tsonga | Dimitrov | Isner | Gulbis |

Warm regards: 6-3 6-0 / 6-3 6-4

Wow ........ tight match. Glad that Berdy won.

This Kevin Anderson will be more dangerous from now on. Raonic, KA, Tomic clown.

This match probably helped Berdych in terms of the whole tournament and how far he can go. Very high quality, forced him to up his game and take charge in a lot of big points and tough situations. Perfect setup match for R4 and QF.

Good match, was happy to see Berdych fight back. I was expecting a tight match, just not this tight.
