Cool FO R2: Almagro def Baghdatis 6-4 6-3 7-5

Slight hiccup in the 3rd set when serving for it but Nico never let Baggy back in it fully, the serve too big in the end. Another fairly routine win. Almagro marching on, ready to take the title.

Just saw the end - Almagro booed off the court - just the usual rude, classless French crowd, or did Almagro do something wrong?

Another pedestrian result from Bagdhatis. Starting to lose faith this guy will ever do anything significant on tour again.

i was watching. I have no idea what he did. There was a moment toward the very end where he juggled the tennis ball with his feet for a brief bit and there was some slight booing after that. Maybe he kicked it away from the ball kid on accident

Entertaining third set. Almagro not quite at his best level yet. French booing
Bghdatis first, then Almagro. They really have no clue.

yep, not a good sign when you are becoming just a routine 2nd round win for a seeded player.

Almagro was good in patches, not consistent enough. Must do better against probably Kohli.

There was one point where he questioned a call, but that was it.
I think it were the Cypriotian fans, not the French. They were very loud and annoying at times.
Nico dealt with it nicely, and made a funny comment about them. After he went to Baghdatis to explain, good sport as he is, and he fully understood.
