Better than the first round. Ungur is an awesome shotmaker with his backhand and hit some blazing returns, hit some special shots and maintained decent consistency to win the third set.
Roger in cruise control mode, hasn't really been seriously tested yet. Served well today, hit the forehand pretty well throughout, but hit too many shanked backhands and loose errors in general. He'll need to start picking it up.
Ungur played a great match. I insist, he's a great player. Top 50.
Serving: Good, keep it on.
Backhand: CRAP! Improve this, NOW!
Movement: Has been worse, but he needs to improve.
Really, Roger. You can do it way better. And I think he will.
I don't wanna see sleeperer in court anymore.
Ah, appeal moderation? Wanna know what appeal moderation did to me?
LOOK AT ME!
LOOK AT ME, BOY! THESE ARE THE SCARS OF APPEAL MODERATION!
Take a good long stare, you know you want to.
You're not even man enough to look at my face.
Appeal moderation isn't pretty, you have to watch your friends go to dust.
Appeal moderation is always hungry for your soul and sweet emotions.
First and once godly-worhispped appeal moderator.
Ungur´s backhand is orgasmic, when he hit the superslice dropshot in first set when the ball completely changed the direction I thought my testicles are going to explode. Also I was amazed how lightly his style looks...Winning a set against Federer in GS is surely a nice experience, just shame he is not always playing the same.
Excellent display of tennis from Ungur in that 3rd set, rightfully and dservedly taking advantage of a serious mental check-out by Feds. Too bad he couldn't keep it up thereafter.
Feds has some work to do, this level won't cut it against Berdych, let alone against Djoko or even Rafa.
I trust him to be able to, though. Hopefully this match will serve as the necessary wake up-call.
