Roland Garros R1: [8] Tipsarevic def. Querrey 2-6 6-4 7-6(3) 6-3

Very good mental win for Janko. Sam could have won this match, but the self-belief is not there. The first set and a quarter, Sam really took it to Janko and was knocking him around with huge shots, forehands and backhands. But he couldn't keep it up, got mentally and physically tired by the end.

Janko served a lot better after the first set and a half, was very solid with his error count and made Sam keep up his high level, which he was unable to do, plus became more offensive himself and started using Sam's pace to counterpunch and attack himself more as the match went onward. Very good win for Janko.

Re: Roland Garros R1: [8] Tipsarevic def. Querrey 2-6 6-4 7-6(3) 6-3

Great job Janko, especially since all the U.S. analysts and commentators predicted him to be the early exit on the men's side....It's hilarious how they acted like Querry was such a better player...I love that their bias is completely unfounded since Querry is irrelevant and hasn't done anything noteworthy in a couple of years...Janko is by far the better player and Top 8 in the world at that...U.S. tennis gurus are disgusting in terms of their biased, disrespectful and asinine predictions..Janko is proving he is Top 10 material and I hope Davenport and Gimmelstob have to eat their words for all the shade they threw at him at the end of last year...Jealousy is such a bitch

Good win for Tipsy, but Querrey impressed me in the 1st set. Didn't expect such a good play on clay from him. Maybe he can be another Isner on clay?

Sam doesn't have the self-belief to be Isner, nor the same serve, obviously, not the intimidation factor.

I still think Querrey can turn it around if he schedules correctly, but it's gonna take a while. Isner was a bit of a slump around this time last year no?

Tipsy gearing well for a loss in R2. He's in Nadal's quarter, after all.

Expected, Tipsy since top 10 player is beating players he is supposed to beat, that´s what i like about him, he is consistent not loosing to random mugs, Querrey on clay isn´t nothing special, still good for Querrey that he won at least set. But with Tipsy´s form and confidence - SRB won WTC in Dusseldorf with Tipsy 4 wins from 4 there was no doubt who will win this match even Querrey leading 1:0 i was sure Tipsy will win this.

I like about him how consistent he is, i mean he is i think alredy longer in top 10 that guys like Almagro, Melzer were with their bottom top 10 rankings, i mean Melzer made RG SF, thanks to those points was higher seeded but still nothing special, Almagro is close to top 10, but still thanks to clay 250s he was in top 10 but outside clay was loosing to mugs, Tipsy since top 10 - since late 2011 he is consistent top 10 player. Can play on all surfaces.

Isner isn't much to write home about either...Wasn't he expected to be a huge threat on clay after that DC win and then he flopped big time during the big clay events? Sam should try to emulate real contenders like Nadal, Nole, Fed...But TBH, Querrey was a flash in the pan at a time when things were weak in the game and virtual nobodies could fake a high rise in the rankings, much like Fish last year; nothing more than faking it to make it; no sustainable longevity at all...Querrey is the lower eschelons of the Top 100 and some would say over ranked even at this present time...Not to mention his disgusting, tantrum like attitude...Like Roddick and Fish who behave as if something is owed to them...Brian Baker is so much more humble and down to earth and you want to pull for someone like that...Querrey should try to be more like Baker, go through some even tougher shit and humble himself and stop acting like an entitled brat
