Re: Coincedence or not...

Rg could be legit, their draws look pretty okay usually though this one is a bit suspicious
USO insanely rigged, AO and Wimby likely are

Re: Coincedence or not...

why is it better for Grand Slam directors to host a Federer - Djokovic semi rather than the same matchup a couple days later in a final?

Is this an evil-ish plan crafted by Rafito then? He seems to the one to benefit from this most-bizarre tale of a scenario.
Or it could be a coincidence.

Wimbledon will tell us more.

Who will be #1?
Attended: RG, Wimbly, USO, Miami, Monaco, Bercy, Rotterdam

You may be onto something OP. I certainly have never thought about it in this way...

Not

Also, who ever was responsible for this year's AO draw was probably fired.

They are the best match-up in tennis IMO, always great when they meet. But if they are in different halves, they could lose in the SF to Nadal/Murray (HC/grass)/Ferrer (Djokovic only)

Re: Coincedence or not...

I remember back in 07/08 when Nadal would always draw Nole and there were similar conspiracy theories. Then again when Nadal always got Muray in 09/10 when he was a bigger threat than Nole. People see what they want to see

Re: Coincedence or not...

Of course not. I mean how could it benefit Nadal to get Murray in the semis rather than Federer or Djokovic? It's not like he's an easier opponent or anything. Oh... wait...

Look at who Nadal's had to face in the semis to reach his last six Slam finals and you'll realise something's not right:

Wimbledon 2010 (def. Berdych)

Semis for Nadal - Murray
Semis for Berdych - Djokovic

US Open 2010 (def. Djokovic)

Semis for Nadal - Youzhny
Semis for Djokovic - Federer

French Open 2011 (def. Federer)
Semis for Nadal - Murray
Semis for Djokovic - Federer

Wimbledon 2011 (l. to Djokovic)

Semis for Nadal - Murray
Semis for Djokovic - Tsonga* (would have been Fed but he lost in quarters)

US Open 2011 (l. to Djokovic)

Semis for Nadal - Murray
Semis for Djokovic - Federer

Australian Open 2012 (l. to Djokovic)
Semis for Nadal - Federer
Semis for Djokovic - Murray

Avoiding Federer & Djokovic 5/6 times in these supposedly "random" draws is not a coincidence. And it seems AO12 was just a blip because, what do you know, he's drawn Murray yet again at the French this year!
