Roland Garros R1: Roger-Vasselin def. Pospisil 3-6 6-3 6-2 6-2

ERV got better and better as the match went on. The final game he had 40-0 and choked, like he usually does, but was able to come through anyway, saving a BP. Pospisil was bad the final two sets, tons of poor errors. ERV was very shaky the first 1 1/2 sets but as he got more solid, he took control of the match; too slick and too good a counterpuncher for Pospisil, and served well after a negative start with his service.

Vasek started the match hitting out assertively and dominating most rallies but couldn't maintain a decent level. 55 errors overall. He's clearly not confident in his game.

Re: RGR1: ERV d. Pospisil 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2

vasek missed aq 0-40 game at the beginning of the 3rd set, got broken in his next service game and then never really threatened ERV'S service again until ERV served for it. Vasek was able to hold off 3 match points and even had a chance to break back but didnt take it

in the end, yes expected outcome.

It is still an improvement for Vasek to take a set on clay. And the last 3 sets were closer than the score suggest.

Great win for Doud He has a confident attitude and he knows how to play his game.

If we see result threads clearly being started before a match has finished then action will be taken. I'm also very sick of the apparent turf-wars going on about who gets to start match result threads and it needs to stop

they really werent. vasek was in almost none of ERV'S service games in the last 2 sets and after he got broken in the second set he didnt really threaten either

Pospisil wasn't any good, so I can't say this match is a step forward for him. It really is not.

A lot of people have said the same thing to Mongoose, but he isn't going to stop, and the moderators don't care.

Just flag him every time he does it.

Pospisil will have better luck in challengers.
Good win for Vaseline

Scooby, let's get real. You already know Mongoose is intentionally starting threads before matches end, several posters have showed the mods this, and nothing has been done. And nothing is going to be done, even when I showed you Mongoose is pathetically trying to start threads before me to stick it to me. If I did these same things, I'd be banned already. Mognoose doesn't do anything but start match threads. He needs to go.
