Roland Garros R1: [21] Cilic def. [Q] Munoz-De La Nava 6-4 6-4 7-5

Win is a win for Marin, but the troubles on serve in this match are a bad sign going forward. Munoz held several leads in this match and served for the third set at *5-3. The serve percentage isn't awful for Marin but over 40 errors in three sets isn't good.

Good performance from the Spaniard in his first major.

Agree. A win is win for Cilic. It was a good performance for Munoz de la Nava overall against a much better player than him in first round after rolling 3 easy victories in quallies

Cilic with a decent chance for R4 here, as Delpo will probavly retire before their match, or will not be fit enough.

There's nothing wrong with Delpo, he just called a trainer to slow Monty. As for Marin, he first needs to pass former RG champion Ferrero.

His knee was injured and he's been having treatment on it before the tourney even started.
Haters. .

Unfortunately Ferrero will beat Marin easily.

Unfortunateky Marin always has the toughiest opponents in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

I didnt say he's likely to make 4th round, just that his chances are not so bad as you could expect.

But i dont see Ferrero taking him out.

Not a hater and you never heard me say anything bad about him or anyone else for that matter but he was running left and right with no problems before and after injury time out and that is fact.

He is injured, but yeah that MTO was definitely timed to destroy Monty's momentum- not that he needed it, Montanes is limited to 2 hours of good tennis a month anymore.
