Nice Final : Almagro def. (Q) Baker 6-3 6-2

What a great tournament for Baker but today Almagro was just too good, served brilliantly and played a great game all round, Baker had trouble keeping up.

Baker for an amazing run.

Just as expected, a good serve gives him a hard time.

And Nico's serve just on fire today.

Well done Nico.

But anyone with a heart wanted Baker to win. It would make such a difference to his life as a whole. Almagro probably won't even remember winning his 28482428734th 250 level event on clay in 10 years.

Pablo Andujar - Philipp Petzschner - David Ferrer - Mikhail Youzhny - Simone Bolelli

Going back to the beginning of the week, no one would've said anything had he lost to Stakhovsky in R1. And he made the final and won more games against Almagro than Simon did.
What a week

expected really. Almagro is a class above anyone that brian played on this surface at this point(except monfils ofcourse but the guy was injured). Aslong as almagro played well he was never going to lose this

still a fantastic week for brian and i hope he does build on this

Baker resisted his temptation for Bagels.
